What to Expect
At the beginning of your appointment, we will reduce the risk of skin infection by disinfecting your skin with an alcohol wipe. We’ll have you lie down on the treatment table and begin running the microneedling handpiece over your skin.
Your microneedling session will take about 30 minutes. We apply a topical anesthetic to your skin before your treatment, so your treatment should be completely painless and comfortable.
Pre-Treatment Instructions
These instructions will help you prepare for your microneedling appointment.
No Tanning
Avoid tanning lotions, tanning beds, and direct sunlight for a week before your treatment. If you go outside, use a minimum of SPF 30 sunscreen.
Avoid These Medications
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, coconut oil, omega-3 fatty acids (fish and fish oil supplements), ginseng, ginkgo, turmeric/curcumin, and St. John’s Wort 1 week before your appointment.
Stop These Products
Stop using abrasive products like retinol or retinoids the day before your treatment, and do not use exfoliators. Clean your skin with a gentle cleanser before your appointment.
Post-Treatment Instructions

Don't Touch
Do not touch the treatment area with either your hand or clothes for 24 hours after your treatment. If unavoidable, use only cotton clothing that has been washed and treated with fabric softener and a dryer sheet.

Avoid Heat
