What to Expect
When you walk into Xanadu Med Spa for your Sculptra® appointment, our team will have you lie down on the treatment table. We’ll clean your skin with an alcohol wipe to reduce the risk of a skin infection after your injections.
The only discomfort you may feel during your appointment is when the syringe is inserted into your skin. Otherwise, your appointment should be completely painless and very comfortable. Once your injector is finished, you’ll be able to return to your day as normal.
Pre-Treatment Instructions
These instructions will help your Sculptra® appointment run smoothly.
No Alcohol/Tobacco
Avoid using alcohol or tobacco products for 24 hours before your appointment, as these will prevent healing and reduce the efficacy of Sculptra®.
Stop Using These Products
2 days before your appointment, stop using topical skin products containing retinol, glycolic acid, alpha-hydroxy acids, and other anti-aging ingredients.
Avoid These Medications
Avoid taking any blood-thinning medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, garlic supplements, Vitamin E, St. John’s Wort, omega-3, or fish oil the week before your injections.
Post-Treatment Instructions

No Touching
Do not touch the treatment area after your Sculptra® injections. This could move the material around, preventing you from achieving the best results.
Avoid Alcohol
